For many of us, especially the young ones, bullying can be a fact of life. Unfortunately, with the proliferation of digital devices and the increasing popularity of social media, it has taken on an online form and can now be carried out with just a few clicks.
As parents, teachers, and guardians, we strive to spare our children from bullying and educate them about it. We at Kudos Knowledge understand this, which is why we launched Starshell Student.
So, what is Starshell Student?
Starshell Student is a social media and cyberbullying education and protection platform designed specifically for students. It helps prevent children from being on the receiving end of cyberbullying by automatically filtering social media updates in real-time. That said, it also saves students from being cyberbullies themselves—it prevents them from posting content that can be considered as offensive, derogatory, racist, or sexual. Through semantic learning, Starshell Student effectively monitors and moderates incoming and outgoing posts, saving students from online harassment while also helping them avoid posting social media content which can be considered as cyberbullying.
And because education is as important as prevention, Starshell Student also helps teach students about cyberbullying. Through its notification feature, it tells the user why a specific social media update they made can potentially be a form of cyberbullying. It also ties in with their school’s social media education framework and provides a link to their social media guidelines.
How do we prevent unauthorised access?
Starshell Student has security features in place and encrypts the student’s social media account details for added protection against hacking.
